A Sweetheart of a Victory

My Colts won the Superbowl. Congratulations Indianapolis! For those sweetheart Colts . . . (aren't Peyton Manning and Coach Dungy adorable?)

Img_0522_5 This was my first chance to respond to a Splitcoast Stampers color challenge (). I stamped one of the hearts from the Mon Ami stamp set in pale plum and then outlined it with the Close to Cocoa marker (sort of a rock-and-roll technique). The 1 3/8” and 1 ¼” square punches make it easy to get the uniform squares and their layered mats. The background pattern on the pale plum paper is created using a Cuttlebug embossing folder. Other ingredients for this card recipe are whisper white, close to cocoa, pale plum, and sage shadow card stock; sage shadow ink to sponge the edges of the sage shadow paper for distressing, and whisper white ink to rub across the embossed background image; window punch; eyelet; Stampin’ Up! mat pack for faux stitching; and white organdy ribbon.
