the rain is gone . . . gonna be a bright, bright, sun shiny day. Remember that Johnny Nash song? Here's a non-card card using a clear box as it's base in honor of today's beautiful sun shine and in preparation for a card club meeting this weekend. (So card club members, if you want to be surprised about our project . . . close your eyes.)
I followed to the letter Erika Martin's Double Resist Technique (including her stamp set choices, Love It and Wonderful Words, and ink and card stock). Instead of using a card stock card base, though, I attached everything to the front of a clear soft-fold PVC box. I found the clear boxes that are perfect for the A2 card size at this beautiful store in Salado, Texas, called Stamp Salado, but you can also find them here.
I also added a Heidi Swapp Ghost flower behind the embossed flower image to bring the acrylic look forward again. I just filled the box with crumpled paper, but how fun would it be to fill it with candy, a gift card, lottery tickets . . . or dare we say, jewelry?
Thanks to Stampin' Mama for the inspiration.
Here is the rainbow I've been prayin' for. It's gonna be a bright, bright sun shiny day.
