Fast-Shuffle for Coworkers

I had one of those days. Not a bad day, just a busy day. One of those days we all have so often when you're juggling several things at once. I had it all organized in my head what I needed to do first, second, last . . . when my husband called. So-and-so's birthday is Friday and we need a group birthday card now, do you have one. Well, you know, that's kind of what I do and, don't tell him, but I was a little honored that he wanted one of my cards for his co-workers. I had better have one, so of course I said yes. But of course I didn't. And he was being a little picky. You know, he didn't want anything too cutsey. Juggle. Shuffle. No sweat. I'm not usually one to use scrapbooking kits, but thank goodness for this one. Here's my card.

Img_0559_3Now, I'm one of these ladies who really likes to distress and embellish the bee-jeeses out of everything, but I'm pretty pleased with this card, especially since it took only about 10 minutes of shuffling. And, even though this kit is full of flowers and swirls, it pulled together pretty nicely for a co-worker's card. Well, what do you think? I guess we'll see if my husband asks me to do this again.

The recipe: Almost everything in the card is from the Just Delightful Simply Scrappin' kit (available through the Sell-a-Bration promotion going on until February 28). Included in the kit is the Certainly Celery cardstock I used for the base. Finishing it out are the Happy Birthday sentiment from A Greeting for All Reasons, stamped in Basic Black, a paper clip I had among my office supplies and a snip-it of green gingham ribbon.
