Like No Udder Lip Balm

Here’s a little ditty my stamp club sisters and I made this weekend. It’s no secret I take a lot of inspiration from the creative geniuses at Splitcoaststampers. Poster Renee O. created these adorable little holders for lip balm and you can click here to get the picture of her holders. She wrote that she got the idea from a little perfume sample gift her sister gave her for Christmas. Hopefully you can see from the picture that the cut in the folds help hold the lip balm in place. Such genius!

That adorable cow is from the Very Punny Sell-a-Bration stamp set. And I wanted to show you a creative way to mount the stamps in this set. I cut the words off the design and placed them on the edge of the block of wood so I have the choice to use just the words or just the picture. Img_0598 I adjusted Renee’s template just a little so that the inside piece would be just a little smaller than the outside piece. You can click  here to download my template: Download lip_balm_holder.pdf

So . . . pucker up with soft lips. Valentines is just around the corner.

Card Recipe: Whisper White, Rose Rose and Taken with Teal Cardstock, Very Punny stamp set, Loves Me designer paper, watercolor crayons (earth elements), Timber Brown Staz-on ink (best if watercoloring on image), 1 3/8" square punch, Marvy Mega square scallop punch, teal grosgrain ribbon, and, of course, lip balm.

Linda, I absolutely adore your designs. I would love to recreate your little lip balm card for my Easter camp in March. Where did you find your small lip balm? Mine are bigger and I prefer the size you have. Thanks for what you do!
