I took this picture as we were trekking on to Wichita Falls for the night. I got bored in the car and realized I have a camera and laptop, so, maybe I can catch up with my blogging. What a perfect card to commemorate the journey. These little birds look like they’re making a trek, too.
With my little makeshift photo studio (the back window of our rental van), I hope you can see all the beautiful detail my guest artist, Pam Downs, put into this card. She used the new Zoofari stamp set and newest in-colors. It’s such a cheerful card, but I especially love all the extra touches she put into it. Her design is impeccable. Do you see the recurring polka dots, all the faux stitching, the adorable scallops? Unfortunately, you can’t see that she used the shimmery white paper for her focal point, and you can just barely see the extra sweet coloring she did on the bird’s legs and at the bottom of their feet. This picture really doesn’t do Pam’s card full justice.
Pam is my featured artist for the next few posts. She says her favorite projects are the ones that are really simple to make but look "Wow!" She also likes projects that use punches or an item in a different way than it was intended. You can certainly see that from this card. I counted at least four punches in this card: the corner rounder punch to make the scallops, ticket corner punch, circle punch, and the new trio-flower punch. The white piece is actually a gift card that opens up, so this card has two openings. Check this out.
It’s always an honor to swap cards with Pam. Stay tuned, Pam has two more cards to share with us.
