I’ve been remodeling. I finally took the time to do some customization to my blog banner. I’ll probably keep tweaking it, but I’d love to hear what you think. Meanwhile . . . the little chick in this stamp set cracks me up (sorry, pun intended).
If you’ve never made a tent card like this one before, they’re easy. To make the tent of the card (the Barely Banana in my card), cut your cardstock 4-1/4" by 8-1/2". Fold that to make a 4-1/4" square. You can use any shape and size to top off your tent (my Bashful Blue cardstock piece), circle, oval, scallop, or rectangle. You just have to make sure you construct it so that the combined tent and top aren’t higher than 5-1/2" or your card won’t fit into our standard envelope.
Stampin’ Up! has just one Easter set in our current catalog, but, it’s so adorable. "A Good Egg" is so much fun to play with. The rest of the recipe is Bashful Blue, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White, and Barely Banana cardstock. Blue and brown taffeta ribbon. Staz-on Timber Brown stamp pad, Pretty in Pink and Barely Banana watercolor crayons; and retired designer paper (sorry). I also used the retired Books, Boxes and Tags kit for the tag (sorry again), and linen thread. Oh, and a non-Stampin’ Up! feather.
I used Crystal Effects to hold the feather and ribbon to the chick’s head. (Good thing I didn’t know about Crystal Effects when my girl was a baby – she had so little hair, I might have used it to keep her ribbons on, too.)
