Purse-sue Your Dreams – The Sequel

Img_0986_copy_4In memory of another dreamer . . . it was my honor to attend the memorial service for the husband of a dear friend yesterday. It was an absolutely wonderful celebration of his life. I regret that I only knew Mark from the stories told about him, and, it was clear from all the sweet sentiments yesterday, that I missed out on knowing an incredible man.

Mark survived a battle with a horrifically aggressive type of brain cancer over two years ago. His family wrote in their tribute that he never complained or acknowledged the cruelness of the disease but instead continued to enjoy an incredibly full life before the disease resurfaced a few months ago. He went on a cruise, snorkeling, Harley rides along the west, and trips to see family from New York to California. Somehow, I don’t think he lived the rest of his life pursuing dreams not yet fulfilled, but that he was just a dreamer to the core. My husband and I agreed, Mark’s beautiful service yesterday left us with a challenge to follow his example. Here’s a virtual hug to Mark’s family and a wish for safe travels as they return to their homes.

Okay, back to our project, my version of Jan Tink’s Carousel Notes Purse. I put the Basic Grey magnets under the front flap, and that makes it easy to open and close the purse. Here’s the inside of the purse. The left panel –

A round little Carousel Note slides out of the pockets on the right and left panels.
