I was trying to make this adorable card I found at Splitcoast Stampers by Alice Erickson (Inkydigits). I looked everywhere for teeny tiny metal clothes hangers, and couldn’t find any . . . so I tried making my own. As you can see, it took quite a bit of trial and error, mostly error. Here are my first attempts and rejects.
I worked at it some more and came up with these. (This is what I did while I watched that incredible Memphis/Kansas NCAA Basketball Game – congrats JayHawks for an incredible come back!)
Once I got it down, I made a bunch of them. We’re going to make this card at our hostess club meeting this weekend. (There’s nothing I won’t do for my hostess club ladies.) Here’s why we need the hangers.
Okay, hostess club members . . . if you don’t want to know what we’re making until the big reveal this weekend, close your eyes.
You know what will happen now, don’t you. I’ll stumble across some mini-hangers in the craft store next time I’m there, now that I’ve tackled making them myself. But, isn’t this card just stinkin’ cute!?
Okay, here’s the recipe:
Stamps: By Ones & By Twos in the current Occasions mini catalog.
Ink: Basic Black with Barely Banana and Pumpkin Pie markers, Signo white pen.
Paper: Bashful Blue, Barely Banana, Whisper White, and the Prints Pack (hostess benefit)
Accessories: Oval punch, crimper, bashful blue striped grosgrain ribbon, soft sutbles brads and non-Stampin’ Up! Cuttlebug embossing folder.
Now, we just need a baby boy to give this to.
