Artsy Fartsy

One of my favorite stampers in the whole world, Pam Downs, got selected be a Make and Take helper at the Tulsa Stampin’ Up! Regional convention and asked to borrow my "Live Your Dreams" stamp set to prepare. This sweetie gave me one of her regional prototypes in return. Pam – you can borrow my stamp sets anytime! I love this card, so my hostess club members got to make it, too, this weekend. For the recipe, you can follow this link to Pam’s Splitcoast Stampers gallery: Live Your Dreams.

Award_2Is my family the only one who uses this term – artsty-fartsy? It usually means we’re getting a little too fancy, but, in this time, I’ll take it as an honor. Lindsey Blackhurst, fellow Texan and absolutely incredible paper crafter, nominated me. She has an incredible blog you don’t want to miss at: Stampin’ with Linz.

Here are the rules for this award. I get to pick five blogs I consider deserving of this award for their creativity, design, interesting material and also for their contribution to the blogging community. I’m embarrassed to tell you how many blogs I visit, there are so many great ones. Here are just a few of my favorites.

Renée Van Stralen at Stampin’ for Sanity – Check out all the tabs on the top of her blog – such a well organized site.

Erika Martin at Stampin’ Mama – A Mama who Stamps was my very first blogging inspiration. Her work ethic is incredible, and she’s always willing to help someone new.

Nancy Riley at iStamp speaks my language – I love everything she does. Check out her father’s day cards – they’re masculine cards that aren’t the typical distressed black or brown but bright and cheerful.

Corie at Creations by Corie does beautiful work and also provides great tips. I love the layering she does on her cards.

Patty Bennett’s site, Patty’s Stamping Spot, is one of my new finds. She just got back from the Stampin’ Up! Bahama cruise and is sharing all kinds of great Stampin’ Up! gossip. Her creations are beautiful and she often has some innovative ways to use our products.

Recipients, it’s your turn. List the names of the people you chose to receive the award on your blog and link to their blogs. Then let your award winners know by posting a comment on their blog. Each award winner has to show the award and put the name of the person who gave them the award and link to their blog. You also need to show the link to the Arte y pico blog to show the origin of this award.

Thank you, Lindsey, for the honor.
