Look Who’s Here!

Look who’s here – my adorable sister flew in from Indiana today.

My sister is so incredible – for lots of wonderful reasons. She joined Stampin’ Up! just so we could kick up some fun in Utah together. She flew to my house in Texas a few days early so we could make up some swaps for her to take, and, well, I barely let her get off the plane before I put her to work.

Sharon’s more of a beader than a scrapbooker. So, she brought 30 scissor charms she made back home and designed a card to attach to the charms. (More about her scissor charms here and here.) This is going to freak your freak-out.

She made the paper scissors with our two oval punches, the word window punch, and an eyelet. The paper is Bella Rose, part of the Shabby Chic collection in the new catalog. The cardstock is from the new in-color collection, Riding Hood Red and Kiwi Kiss. Oh, and she used the new scallop border punch, too.

Here’s a closer look. Of course, you can take the charm off the card and put it on your scissors.

Words just can’t express how much it means to me to have my sister here . . . I’m beyond poodle dances, warm fuzzies . . . even goose bumps. Getting to play in my Crop Crib with my sister is my side of heaven!

Oh . . . and the fun is just beginning . . . stay tuned. Tomorrow I’m going to let her out of the Crop Crib, fill her up with breakfast tacos and dangle her over a ravine.

I loved reading about your excitement about your twin sister from Indiana coming to see you. I have a twin sister (we’re both in Indiana – she’s outside of Richmond and I’m in South Bend, but I used to live in Atlanta,TX) and we always enjoy doing stuff together, too. I love your swaps, very cute. I hope you have a great time “zipping” today and at the convention this week.

WAY too cute! I can’t wait to share this with my su demo, who’s also my beat buddy. Lots of times I help her get paper cut for her parties and she lets me help choose cards to make. This would be such a great way to promote punches! Love it!

  6. I received this wonderful card! I really enjoyed the Convention as well. Thanks Sharon for personalizing mine to say, mom!! You are too kind and I was really glad to meet the both of you!!

Out with the old, In with the new

I knew when I saw these little scissors on Linda McCain’s blog that I need to do a page using them. It worked out perfect for a page of some items that I had crossed stitched for other people. I had always wanted to do a page with some of those picture…
