In just a week you'll be able to view the new holiday mini catalog on-line at Stampin with LMac, and, I'm not allowed to announce them in advance, but you'll also want to check out all the incredible promotions starting October 1.
This Winter Post stamp set is definitely my new favorite. There's a fun picture of my mother- and father-in-law on their honeymoon in Wisconsin in December ice skating. I'm still in Lubbock, but when I get home, I'll upload it and you'll see why this set is so special to me. I also imagine my Uncle Glenn and Aunt Calita saw a few cards like this when they ran the post office out of my Grandpa Black's country store in tiny Quincy, Indiana.
This is a copy (CASE) of one of my favorite samples in the Splitcoast gallery by ponygirl40 (I'm sorry, I wish I knew her name), Hurricane Hannah Afternoon. I still like her card better. Honestly, I made this in my hotel room last week in Dallas. When I travel, I try to bring my projects with me, so I never travel light. In fact, when I checked into the hotel, they thought I was a Hurricane Ike evacuee – I had so much stuff. The stampin' spots made it easy to bring lots of ink pads, but I still pined for some of my supplies from home.
I got er done, though, and even made enough for an upcoming swap session.
So, here's the recipe:
- Stamps: Frames with a Flourish, Winter Post (new)
- Paper: Chocolate Chip, Confetti Cream, Robin Hood Red
- Ink: Close to Cocoa, Chocolate Chip, Robin Hood Red, Sahara Sand
- Accessories: Pretties Kit, Alpine ribbon originals, mini clips
