Jane’s Cardinal Christmas

The Cardinal Christmas stamp set in the new mini catalog is so beautiful. Okay, so, I'm from Indiana and, yes, a little partial to cardinals (our state bird). That aside, this set has these elegant sentiments, a silhouette of mistletoe (silhouettes are so in vogue), and this beautifully detailed cardinal. Jane Schenck did such a wonderful job of highlighting this set for our StampSmith swap group.

That rich ribbon is from the Alpine collection, and the scalloped circle is one of our new Big Shot die shapes.

Jane used the Big Shot again, this time with the Top Notz Bigz Die. This picture really doesn't do justice to how sparkly this card is or how luscious that new ribbon is.

I love how Jane used the silhouette to frame the cardinal image, and the "little felt flurries" Baja Breeze snowflake is the perfect final touch.

I dig everything Jane does, but I dig even more hanging out with her. She gets so excited about new stamping toys. If I have my hearing aids in and I stand real close, I can almost  hear the wheels churning in her head with new ideas. Her excitement is contagious. I hope you visit her at Live, Love, Laugh, Stamp – and tell her Linda sent you.

While I was stomping around the grounds of the Far View Bed and Breakfast, taking pictures of Jane's cards, check out what else I stumbled upon. Looks like this ornate old cash resgister found a scenic resting place.

and this little guy.

Honestly, this little one carried quite the conversation with me. I sure wish I spoke native squirrel - doesn't it look just a little bit like he's laughing?
