Good Stuff

thanksgiving2010

The past two weeks have been such heaven for me. It started with a trip to Costa Rica to see precious Caitlin and sadly, the Holidays ended today when I had to put my brother and sister on a plane back to their Indiana homes. With my brother and sister here with me in Texas, we chilled and thrilled. We love a very traditional Thanksgiving feast – so we had turkey, ham, shrimp, twice baked potatoes, green bean casserole, stuffing, biscuits, pecan pie, pumpkin pie, and Southern banana pudding. I even got out our wedding china and good silver.

The time went way too fast with music jammin', football, good books, great movies, cards, shopping, bowling, Wii, and lots and lots of eating. You know, the nicer the vacation, it seems, the harder it is to go back to work. But, both my Tom and I will be checking in tomorrow, yep, Sunday. Ugh, back to the real world.

Tonight Tom and I are doing what we do best . . . watching football with dueling laptops. I just added a few more yummy haunts to my list of favorite sites, my Rolodex of Good Stuff.

I just discovered the The Blog Guidebook. It's a wonderful collective of blog sites with all types of topics. I go to it for both inspiration and information since the site also gives lots of how-to information for bloggers.

Scrapbook Royalty hosts and sponsors scrapbooking events all around the country for noble causes. Something's always hopping over there.

And, if you haven't heard of the The Pioneer Women, then hold onto your saddles. Ree Drummond's writing is sweet and poignant, and, lucky for us, she's every-so-willing to share her talents with blogging, photography, and cooking advice.

Hope you enjoy visiting these fun places.

Now . . . back to work.
