Deborah Kerr: Winter must be cold for those with no warm memories.
Becky: Men never get this movie.
Annie: I know.
~ Rosie O'Donnell and Meg Ryan in Sleepless in Seattle, 1993
Happy Wednesday! Wednesday's becoming one of my favorite days of the week because I get to help unveil another My Favorite Things (MFT) Wednesday Stamp Club sketch. I used the Pure Innocence stamp set, Popping By, which gave me a great excuse to celebrate my favorite Chick Flicks.
I could watch these over and over – my little list of classic Chick Flicks.
1. Titanic
2. Sleepless in Seattle
3. Terms of Endearment
4. Pretty Woman
5. When Harry Met Sally
6. Fifty First Dates
7. Steel Magnolias
And, just for giggles and grins – I grabbed and jumbled some of my favorite quotes from these movies (you know I love quotes). See if you can match the quote with the movie.
A. I'll never let go, Jack. I promise.
B. Pardon me. Sorry to interrupt, but I notice we were both eating alone and I thought perhaps I could sit with you, maybe build a syrup Jacuzzi for your waffle house?
C. Miss Truvy, I promise that my personal tragedy will not interfere with my ability to do good hair.
D. Momma, that's the first time I stopped hugging first. I like that.
E. Well, it was a million tiny little things that, when you added them all up, they meant we were suppose to be together . . . and I knew it. I knew it the very first time I touched her. It was like coming home . . . only to no home I'd ever known . . . I was just taking her hand to help her out of a car and I knew. It was like . . . magic.
F. And I love that you are the last person I want to talk to before I go to sleep at night. And it's not because I'm lonely, and it's not because it's New Year's Eve.
G. So what happens after he climbs up and rescues her? She rescues him right back.
Not too hard, right? While you're figuring those out, here's my card for the 26th MFT Wednesday Stamp Club (MFTSWC26).
I put Basic Grey magnetic snaps under the bottle cap and between the paper layers of the card so the bottle cap could be removed and used as a refrigerator magnet.
Target had these fun plastic popcorn boxes at the Dollar Spot (a great source for things to alter).
Hmm, now I need to get a few girlfriends together, put up our feet and keep some tissue boxes handy for a girls' night out at the movies – to go with all this popcorn!

I added October Afternoon's Five and Dime paper, a bottle cap from Design Originals topped off with a cabachon from Bottle Cap, Inc. I also threw in a Cuttlebug embossing folder and over-sized rick rack ribbon. Everything else is from My Favorite Things, including the yummy black ribbon on the popcorn box.
- Stamps – MFT Pure Innocence Popping By
- Color Mediums – Memento ink, Copics
- Fibers – Black Saddlestitch
- Tools – First Place and Open Scallop Doily Die-namics
So, have you connected the quotes to the right movie? Just for fun (sorry, no prize this time), leave a comment below with your guess. Or, see if you can stump me with your favorite Chick Flick movie quote. Meanwhile, I hope I see you at the Forum, playing along with the sketch.
