Summer has set in with its usual severity.

Welcome to Catered Crop! If you're looking for the My Favorite Things Hop and Shop post, Arrr Matey, just scroll down a little bit to the next post.
Yes, Ma'am, it's hot in Texas. There's no rain in sight and the temperatures are reaching 105 degrees. Central Texas is having the driest eight months since the 1890s (yes, I pay attention). The only respectable thing to do on a day like that is to lay back a in floaty and soak in the pool. Nothing's better on a summer day like we've been having than floating and looking up at the clear blue sky. Did I mention there's no rain in sight?
Today's the first day for the My Favorite Things Wednesday Stamp Club #27 sketch (MFTWSC27) and the first day you can buy this new stamp set, Inspired by Summer. The sketches for the Wednesday Stamp Club are so amazing and fun, they make designing a card as easy as a summer breeze – well, easier than the scarce summer breezes we've been having, anyway.
If you go to the MFT Splitocast Stamper's forum, you can join all the fun and download a full size version of the sketch.

I love what my son said about this card when I showed it to him. (I have all the family well trained to "oooh and ahhh" whenever I reveal my cards.) He said, it's kind of a grandmotherly card, "But that's okay, Mom, it looks like Elizabeth Taylor." Must be all the bling. And, we both agreed, Grandmothers need cards, too.
Ya'll stay cool out there!
