Oh how I love pumpkin season. You did know pumpkin has its own season, right? Winter, Spring, Summer, Pumpkin . . . While I’m finishing up with my post, my daughter’s making Pumpkin Cookies with Cream Cheese icing. Ah, man, I love this season. Persimmon pudding, chili with corn bread, apple cider, pumpkin bread, pumpkin cookies, roasted pumpkin seeds, pumpkin pie . . . oh yeah, and Halloween candy.
There’s some paper and a brad from My Mind’s Eye (Stella Rose) in there. I wanted rich, golden warm colors for a Fall card. We don’t get to see the leaves change colors much in Central Texas. But these colors take me back to Fall in Indiana, where I grew up and where the Fall foliage is probably just reaching its peak.
I stamped this new stamp set, Sweetest Pumpkin in the Patch, with Memento ink, colored with Copics and got those fishtail shapes from My Favorite Things First Place Ribbon die (love that set). And, you know, you just can’t stamp a pumpkin patch without that Woodgrain Fence die.
It’s Day 5 of the My Favorite Things Teasers for those of you keeping track. I hope you all are having as much fun as I am.
