Babies are such a nice way to start people.
~ Don Herrold
When I was pregnant with my second baby I wanted a girl so much I was afraid to tell anyone. I thought someone might suspect my disappointment if it was a boy. That was 25 years ago when sonograms were mostly shadows, so when the doctor said he thought it might maybe, possibly be a girl . . . I still kept it a secret how badly I wanted her.
It was a hectic delivery and the doctor arrived with just barely enough time to put on his scrubs. He placed this perfect little redhead on my belly and announced it was a girl. Well, my secret was out. All I could say was "it's a girl, it's a girl!" She was and still is my very special gift.
I used some Graphic 45 paper from my stash and made kind of a bow bouquet – a bow tied up with all kinds of goodies (taffeta ribbon, tulle, a charm, the new Vintage Flourish Die-namic, a tag with the Notched Tag Die-Namic, and some Distress Stickles). And, of course, I used the new Pure Innocence stamp, Girl and Baby. She's colored with Copic markers and her cheeks are blushed with a little Stampin' Up! pastels.
It's day six and my favorite of all the Teasers with six new Pure Innocence images by Heather Ellis.
