Recipe Swapping from our 2011 Favorites

You have a cough?
Go home tonight, eat a whole box of Ex-Lax –
tomorrow you’ll be afraid to cough.

Seems everyone around me has a cough this week, yep, including me. What’s the deal? Well, I tell you, I’m not using Pearl Williams’ Ex-Lax cure. Watching your beautiful get-well cards come in is definitely a much better cure for me.

Congratulations to JoAnn Burnham. We choose your card as the crème de la crème among our of buffet of entries last week. Please feel free to grab our newly designed {Catered Crop Winning Recipe} button.

We’re shaking things up at Catered Crop. I hope we’re not confusing you too much. Yes, you’re in the right place where we usually have the “Follow the Recipe” challenge. But, this month we’re giving our designers and sponsors a break and looking back at 2011. Our challenge is part of a month-long “year in review” with different themes each week!

We’re breaking the rules. Most challenges ask you not to link back to previous projects. Well, forget those rules! Go back into your archives and pull out your favorites from 2011. This week our theme is Birthday Cards.

So . . . here are the rules for playing  . . .  there are very few rules.

  • Link up your favorite Birthday Cards from 2011, including, if you prefer, any you make this week.
  • Keep the party going and fun by leaving a comment on the projects of the two people who posted in front of you.
  • This party ends at 8:00 PM on Saturday, December 17, and we’ll start another one on Sunday, December 18 (so be thinking about your favorite Just Because Card for next week).
  • Enter as often as you’d like.
  • Feel free to leave a comment about why this is your favorite 2011 Birthday card.

And, here are the favorite Birthday Cards our Top Chef designers picked from their 2011 archives. Just click on the picture to go to their original blog post.

  1. Thanks for the fun ‘challenge’ … I’ve enjoyed looking through my old cards and seeing how my style has changed this past year! I’ve chosen this as my fave, as I love the DPs and cute image, and it includes some baker’s twine which I also discovered this year too!
PS LOVE the new look blog!

  2. Love the new look on the blog, Linda… you’re really cooking now!! Pun intended. Hugs, Peggy
