Live in the sunshine, swim the sea,
Drink the wild air‘s salubrity.
– Ralph Waldo Emerson,
The Conduct of Life (1860)
This card is proof it's not too late to join the Catered Crop Songs of the Rainbow Recipe Swap, sponsored by Sassy Cheryl Digis. This freakishly cute "Sassy Sally in her Inner Tube" image is from her latest release. Fun in the sun!
Here's the inside – which is really like a second card. Don't ask me how anyone's going to sign the inside. I really didn't leave any space for that, did I. But, isn't it cool?!
I love this live-life-to-the-fullest poem by Ralph Waldo Emerson, so I wanted to do something special with it. Inspired by some of the graphics my Caitlin (Feb10 Design) made for this site, I created a subway-art-graffiti free printable for you all to grab as either a pdf or jpg file.
If you download it and then downsize it to 3.5 inches tall by 1.7 inches wide, it fits perfectly in the Spellbinders Long Rectangle Large Nestabilities Classic die. I hope you enjoy it.
Thank goodness I'm not a contestant on the new Craft Wars show with only one hour to craft. It took me three days to make this sucker. Well, you know, in between working, bouncing on my floaty in the pool, playing with the dog . . .
Sassy Sally is fussy cut, paper pieced and popped up with dimensional tape to float on top of the water.
Sally's circle-shaped rainbow-sea landscape is a row of four different sizes of circles on the top half and another half circle cut out of patterned paper on the bottom half (thanks to The Little Yellow Bicycle Splash collection).
Here are the Copic markers I used and the rest of the recipe. I hope you all get a chance to drink the wild air and enjoy the sunshine!Pin It
