Eh, What's Up Doc?
~ Bugs Bunny
Congratulations to Mary J and Allisa. Your ruffles rocked in our "R R R Ruffles Have Ridges" Recipe Swap. We'd love to have you join our Top Chef designers to be featured in next Sunday's Quickfire. Grab the Winning Recipe button and just contact me for all the details.
We're crazy about gorgeous, translucent, eco-friendly, Japanese masking tape – Washi Tape. It's the latest, hottest trend. (Yes, you can count on Catered Crop to keep you in the loop on the latest craze.)
If you haven't gotten your hands it yet, here's your chance. Our featured ingredient for the next Catered Crop Recipe Swap is Washi Tape.
- Just use Washi Tape somewhere in your project.
- Include a link to us at Catered Crop or add our button, which you can grab on our sidebar or at our {button gallery}.
- Link up and link often, but be sure you link up by 8:00 PM EST on Saturday, August 4.
- Keep the party hopping by visiting the other players and leaving comments.
- Check back with us on August 5 to see if you've won an opportunity to be a guest designer or a prize from our sponsor.
It's really just insane – all the different things you can do with Washi tape. It's repositional but strong. You can tear it, emboss it, stamp on it, fold it over to make bows, banners or flags . . . You can use it to alter nearly everything, even computer keyboards and smart phones. I curated just a few ideas (54 and counting) at this Pinterest board with some fun tutorials for you to try to help you get your creative juices flowing.
So, where do you get this stuff? I'm glad you asked.
Winnie is Chickydoddle.
She's a fellow paper crafter who donates part of the proceeds to her Etsy shop to help schools and non-profit organizations in need. You gotta love that. And, you gotta love this store . . . so much yummy goodness. Kawaii Tapes, Fabric Tapes, Heart Stickers, Rubber Stamps, Craft Paper, Kawaii Stickers, Baker's Twine, Organizers, Glassine Bags, Envelopes and, of course, Washi Tape. I grabbed a bunch of her petite rolls of tape to get more fun patterns. Don't worry, I saved you just a few.
Some crazy lucky, randomly selected player will get a $25.00 to go while at Chickydoddle. That's a lot of Washi Tape.
So grab you some spicy Wasabi and hot Washi and come back and see us on Sunday, July 29, to savor what our Chefs have dished up for you with their Washi Tape.
