No Stress to Distress Recipe Swap

Give your stress wings
and let it fly away.

Now that was fun! I never dreamed you all would enjoy playing with white paper so much, or that something so simple could be so stunning. You guys really knocked my socks off and made it crazy hard to pick just one winner, so, of course, I didn't. Congratulations to Tracy Ercole, Rosemary Dennis, and Mihaela. You're invited to join our Top Chef designers in next Sunday's Quickfire and grab the Winning Recipe button. Just contact me for all the details.

This is our no stress zone to distress.

Grab your torn, wrinkled, tea-stained, ripped, crackled, and sanded papers and just about anything made by Tim Holtz or Seven Gypsies. Oh, yeah, and don't forget your distress inks and markers. We're gonna get down and dirty with distressed projects. And, you know, if you still have some stress to release, you can grab your hammer and go at your projects to distress them even more.

  • Just use the aging or distressing techniques or products somewhere in your project.
  • Include a link to us at Catered Crop or add our button, which you can grab on our sidebar or at our {button gallery}.
  • Link up and link often, but be sure you link up by 8:00 PM EST on Saturday, September 1.
  • Keep the party hopping by visiting the other players and leaving comments.
  • Check back with us on August 26 to see if you've won an opportunity to be a guest designer.

I love how the aging process uncovers layers of colors and textures, so, of course, when I find something beautifully aged or distressed, I do what any other responsible crafter would do. I pin it on Pinterest!  You'll find my Pinterest board for your inspiration and a few wonderful tutorials for aging paper here

The second Sunday of our challenge our chefs dish up what they've prepared with our featured ingredient. Come back and see us on Sunday, August 26, to savor our chefs' creations with their aged and distressed projects.
