The Eskimos had fifty-two names for snow
because it was important to them:
there ought to be as many for love.
~ Margaret Atwood
When fresh snow sparkled, my Mom called it a Camelot snow. Yeah, I had a lot of fun with glitter, recapturing the magic of the first Camelot snow of the season.
Making a card with snow is a little bittersweet knowing so many of you in New York and New Jersey are digging yourselves out of a nor'easter. I hope Hurricane Sandy and this Winter storm are soon just exciting tales for your children and grandchildren and that you are safe and warm.
The sketch for this card is from the My Favorite Things Guest Designer Contest, running until Monday night. You can join me and a gallery full of amazing paper craft artists here. It's so much fun to watch everyone's interpretation of the same sketch. Good luck everyone. I'll see you at Tuesday's New Release Party.
Here are the Copic Markers I used, the sketch and the rest of the ingredients.
