Snow Much Fun

Getting an inch of snow is like
winning 10 cents in the lottery.
     ~ Bill Watterson

Texas has four seasons: drought, flood, blizzard, and twister. The state is just so dang big we get all kinds of weather — sometimes all at once. Out in West Texas, the weather can be drier than the heart of a haystack. Panhandle thunderclouds bring real gully-washer toad-strangler rain storms. And as late as October it's hotter than a stolen tamale. But, whatever the weather is in Texas, if you don't like it, just wait a minute and it will change.

Take today's forecast for instance.

Seriously! From 77º Fahrenheit to 21º Fahrenheit in one day.

Oh, I hope is snows!

All the way up to Frosty's third button.

I'm previewing the new My Favorite Things Pure Innocence "Thanks So Much" stamp set. The set comes with a sweet little snowflake image. I heat embossed the snowflakes with fine, iridescent embossing powder and then treated Frosty and the snow drifts with Distress Stickles for good measure.

My Christmas tree ornament is a vintage fine. I love treasure hunting for fun craft embellishments.

I paid a little more than 27 cents – isn't this a treat? It's just like the ornaments Mom used to put on one of her miniature trees.

It's Day Six of the My Favorite Things (MFT) Teasers, and my favorite day of them all – the day MFT designers reveal all the new Pure Innocence stamps. There are only one more sleep before the big release.
