Nothing makes the earth seem so spacious
as to have friends at a distance;
they make the latitudes and longitudes.
~ Henry David Thoreau
I made these little S'meeps Kits for a few of my favorite "peeps" who for various reasons – illness, work, travel – I haven't seen in a month of Sundays. I had fun making these just for giggles and grins and, you know, to let them know I miss them when they're not sharing my latitudes and longitudes.
You know what S'meeps are, right? S'mores made with Marshmallow Peeps. I have the recipe below for you.
I filled each glassine wax bag with two graham crackers, two snack-size chocolate bars, and two Marshmallow Peeps. The little 3" by 3" cards are made with the Pure Innocence stamp set, One of My Favorite Peeps.
Here's the inside of the little card that went with the S'meep Kits. The cutie mini Peep is from the Woven Basket Die-namics.
And . . . the outside of the two other cards.
I'm having a blast with the Splitcoast Stampers Lovefest celebration. The challenges end on Thursday, February 28, so it's not too late to join me.
The little darling is Copic color, paper piece and fussy cut. Here are the Copic markers I used and the rest of the ingredients.
Finished size of card: 3" x 3". Other ingredients include pebbles seen & noted paper pad, My Mind's Eye Everyday Fun twine, flea market clothespin, fabric scraps.
To make and eat S'meeps . . .
- Place two squares of chocolate on one half of a graham cracker.
- Top with one Marshmallow Peep chick or two Peep bunnies.
- Place in the microwave and cook on high for 10 seconds. Rest for a few seconds to make sure the Peep doesn’t explode. Continue to cook in 10-second intervals until soft.
- Place the other half of the graham cracker on top and let it sit for at least 30 seconds to let the chocolate melt.
