I don’t know if we each have a destiny,
or if we’re all just floating around accidental-like on a breeze.
But I . . . I think maybe it’s both. ~Forrest Gump
The first thing that came to my nutty brain when I saw this new Feathers and Arrows Die-namic was the feather Forrest Gump used to mark his place in his favorite book, Curious George.
In the film Forrest is torn between Lieutenant Dan’s conviction that your destiny is preordained and his mother’s faith that we make our own destiny.
So, when this month’s release gave us both a feather and some sentiments about destiny in the new Life’s Direction stamp set . . . well, it was . . . you know . . . Destiny.
Tips & Techniques
I used the new Chicken Wire Die-namic as a cover for this card. You can see it better from the side.
The Chicken Wire Die-namic is 4″ wide by 5-1/4″ long.
- I cut a piece of cardstock 4″ wide by 5-3/8″.
- I scored and folded t at 5-1/4″ so there was just a 1/8″ overhang.
- I attached the Chicken Wire die cut piece to this small 1/8″ overhang and then embellished it.
Here are all the ingredients.
Finished size: 4″ by 5-1/4″. Additional ingredients: Simple Stories Summer Fresh 6″ x 6″ Paper Pad, Echo Park Sweet Girl Flower Garden 12″ paper.
