Gone Fishin’

If people concentrated on the really important things in life,
there’d be a shortage of fishing poles.  ~Doug Larson

Life is good. Lot’s of wonderful things are happening in the Catered Crop Crib.

But, sadly, this is my swansong project for My Favorite Things (MFT). MFT was kind enough to let me step away, give a little more focus to my day job, enjoy the Summer with the family, and savor the good things.

I couldn’t possibly leave MFT without first expressing my gratitude to Kim (MFT boss lady), her amazing staff, and the insanely talented, hard-working and super sweet team of designers.

Reel Expert

Thank you ladies for giving me such an amazing adventure!

Tips & Techniques

When Dad taught me to fish in Grandma Black’s pond, he put a bobber on my line so I could tell when I had fish tugging on my line. I added a big orange-button bobber to the little Pure Innocence doll’s fishing line so her fish wouldn’t run off with her worm.

Gone Fishing

The little doll is Copic colored, fussy cut and paper piece. I used the Snow Drifts Die-namic from My Favorite Things to create the waves.

Here are the rest of the ingredients.

Finished Size: 4-1/4″ by 5-1/2″. Other ingredients include American Craft Premium Ribbon Twine, black Copic Multiliner .03 and Copic Markers (E0000, E00, E30 for skin; Y24 and Y31 for hair; and BG000 for highlighting on the white shirt).

I’ll be back with this week’s Quickfire celebrating our men. Until then  . . . gone fishin’.
