Canning Jar Recipe Swap

Canning is a whole world of a thing to do. It requires that you get out of your head. It’s a Zen thing. You cannot be wondering about your inadequacies and how they drove Bob off and be making jelly. You’ll wind up with big, cylindrical jujubes.”
~ Debby Bull, Blue Jelly: Love Lost & the Lessons of Canning

Thank you for sharing your beautiful creations for our Pack It Up challenge. Boy, some people are getting some amazing gifts with all your talents. Congratulations to Anika and Erica.

You’re invited to join our Top Chef designers in next Sunday’s Quickfire and grab the Winning Recipe button. Just contact me for all the details.

Catered Crop Recipe Swap ButtonHave you noticed how popular canning jars have become in the crafting community this past year? I love it, probably because it reminds me the grape and apple jelly Mom canned when I was a kid. (Yes, if there’s a way to turn anything around about food, I’m your girl.)

For this challenge you can use a canning Jar (Mason, Kerr, Ball, etc.) and fill it, alter it, tag it, decorate it . . . what ever you want to do. Or you can create a card (or scrapbook page) with a canning jar on the card.

  • Include a link to us at Catered Crop or add our button, which you can grab on our sidebar or at our {button gallery}.
  • Link up and link often, but be sure you link up by 8:00 PM EST on Saturday, October 12.
  • Keep the party hopping by visiting the other players and leaving comments.
  • Check back with us on October 13 to see if you’ve won an opportunity to be a guest designer.

Our fabulous designers are all crazy excited about this challenge. We’ll be back on Sunday, October 6, with our projects.

Have fun. And, for some inspiration, just to go this Pinterest Board: Canning Jars, where you can find the links to all these projects and many, many more. (I kind’a got carried away with the pinning thing.)
