If your heart is in your dreams
No request is too extreme
When you wish upon a star
As dreamers do.
~ lyrics by Leigh Harline and Ned Washington
Splitcoast Stampers has been my #1 source for help and inspiration for years. So, I was over the moon surprised and honored when I learned I was the featured stamper last week (FS356). It was a wish and a dream come true to watch other stampers take inspiration from my gallery there. There’s just no living with me now!
To show my appreciation for being so sweet to me, this card is a tribute to some of the weekly challenges at Splitcoast.
- Featured Stamper FS357 pays tribute to the very talented Anita Madden. I loved her mixed patterns, kraft-colored layers and twine bow in this card.
- I love the sketch is last week’s Sketch challenge SC456 (see below).
- Ways to Use It WT465 challenged us to use script so I stamped my stars on music script.
I’m so late getting this post up about this card that there’s a whole new week of challenges at Splitcoast. Participating in each challenge is just a little like joining a virtual party in progress. You can (and should!) check out all the challenges here.
Tips & Techniques
This sketch has so many different panels, I thought it would be fun to make it loo a little like a quilt. So, I sewed around each of the panels.
The stamps are from the adorable Stacey Yacula line at Purple Onion Designs (links below). The stars are fussy cut and paper pieced, and the middle star is popped up with dimensional tape. I added a little distress stickler glitter around the edges of the main panel.
Here are all the ingredients.
Finished Size: 4-1/4″ by 5-1/2″. Other ingredients include Copic Markers (E07 and E09).
From Olive (who passed her three-month puppy check today) and from me . . . May all your Christmas wishes come true!Pin It
