You are the butter to my bread
and the breath to my life.
~ Julia Child
I’m the luckiest girl in the world. I’m married to a darling man, the breath to my life. And girls! Mr. Catered Crop does nearly all the grocery shopping and cooking for us. I wash dishes and bake cookies. Lucky!
Our arrangement evolved for a number of reasons (i.e. excuses from me). Mr. Catered Crop preferred to start supper as soon as we both got home from work, whereas I liked to unwind first. On the flip side, he liked to relax after supper and I didn’t mind cleaning up right away. Yin and yang at its core.
Also, I abhor grocery shopping while my sweetheart has made it a science. Unsupervised, I’d probably just buy Twinkies.
So this year for Father’s Day, I want to honor Mr. Catered Crop for all of the fabulous meals he’s cooked for us over the years and for ensuring that we survived on more than just Twinkies.
Here’s the inside of the card.
tips & techniques
I love this Japanese cotton cord. My daughter got this for me for Christmas from Studio Carta (good girl!). I got to meet the lovely owner of Studio Carta, Angela Liguori, at the National Stationery Show in New York last month. Her booth was full of gorgeous custom ribbons imported from Italy. Yes . . . I blew any budget I thought I had. I like shopping for ribbon so much more than groceries!
Here are the Copic markers I used to color Chef Catered Crop, the sketch I followed and the rest of the recipe.
I’d like to add this card to the following fun challenges:

- Naughty or Nice Challenge #5 (NON5), For the Men
- and of course, our own Catered Crop Manly Men Recipe Swap.
Happy Father’s Day, darling dear.Pin It
