I'm honored that you're visiting and reading my little blog.
My name is Linda McClain. I grew up in Indiana and have lived in Texas (just outside Austin) now for over 25 years. My Tom and I have a lot of fun with our two adult children, Ben and Caitlin, and our dogs, Mailey and Pillow. My day job as a nursing home surveyor keeps me away from my crafting more than I'd like, but it also gives me the opportunity to meet and help amazing people across Central Texas.
The movie producer Cecil B. DeMille once said "Creativity is a drug I cannot live without." (Being an RN who stamps, wouldn't you know I'd love a quote about both drugs and creativity?) I do paper craft for selfish reasons – it keeps me sane. So it's an extra bonus when people actually like what I make. I've been honored to be part of a charter design team for one of the local scrapbook stores, published in www.scrapbooking.com e-magazine, and featured on CardoftheWeek.com and TipJunkie.com.
Sharing all my silliness just keeps getting more and more fun for me. 2010 has already been an incredible year for Catered Crop:
- I was invited to be on the design team for Paper Garden Projects – my favorite on-line store!
- My cards have been featured on Scrapbook News and Review gallery, Scrapbook and Cards Today and Art Glitter fan pages, and Card Positioning Systems blog.
- One of my cards was published in Scrapbook News and Review March 2010 e-magazine.
- I became a Copic Certified Designer.
- I was chosen as the first guest designer at Mo's Digital Challenge blog (March 2010).
- My cards made the top picks of the Cupcake Inspiration Challenge, The Pink Elephant, Clearly iStamp, Krafty Chick, and MoJo Monday challenges.
- The very talented Erika Martin invited me to be part of her charter design team (Soul Team) at the Soul Scrappers community and her on-line Journal 101 class.
Thanks for joining me. Hang on tight – we're just getting started!
