It's week two of our Krafty Recipe Swap. That means it's time for the Quickfire Round – where our Top Chefs and Guest Chefs dish up what they've made with the featured ingredient.

Our featured ingredient is Kraft Paper! Any kind of kraft or kraft-like paper will do, including brown paper bags or brown butcher paper.

Here's how we roll . . .

  • Just use kraft paper somewhere in your project.
  • Include a link to us at Catered Crop or just add our button, which you can grab on our sidebar or at our {button gallery}.
  • Link up and link often, but be sure you link up by 8:00 PM EST on Saturday, April 28.
  • Keep the party hopping by visiting the other players and leaving comments.

Winners of the challenge will get the coveted Winning Recipe blog button and a chance to be featured in our next challenge.

If you've followed Catered Crop for very long (God bless you), you know one of my favorite tools is the Perfect Layers tool. So, I'm crazy excited about this challenge's sponsor.

Perfect Paper Crafting's Perfect Layers tool (say that three time's real fast) has completely changed the way I make my cards. Everyone wins with this challenge. Just enter catered5% for a 5% discount checkout to get your hands on these tools.

One very lucky, randomly selected winner will get a $25.00 gift certificate from Perfect Paper Crafting. Snap!

Oh my . . . all your brad-ly cards were so yummy, they would have made Paisley and Pitt blush! It was pretty hard to pick just a few winners, so, if you didn't get picked, please do try again. Congratulations to BethAngela Rivera and Tracy MacDonald. You're invited to join our Top Chef designers in next Sunday's Quickfire and grab the Winning Recipe button.

Congratulations also to player #43, Lori. You've won a $30.00 gift certificate from Eat Cake Graphics. Just e-mail me through my contact page, here, and I'll get you hooked up.

Need some ideas? Here's a whole gallery of creative ways to use kraft paper in your projects. You can click on the inspiration board below to go to a Pinterest board with the sources of these pictures and more gorgeous ideas and brilliant tutorials.

We also have some amazing Kraft paper artists on our own Top Chef design team. Dorcas will show you how to color on Kraft paper with Prisma art pencils. Krafty Chick Jeanie Witmer runs a "That's Krafty Thursday" so you can enter two challenges with one card. Those two always amaze at how beautiful they can make something as simple as kraft paper look.

It helps me make single, double and triple mats around my panels without all the math, which is a very good thing for me. If your paper cutter is a little cattywampus, either the Perfect Layer Tool or Perfect Squares Tool can unwamp ya'. And, if you don't want to invest in an expensive airbrush system, the Perfect Airbrush system turns any marker, including Copic markers, into an airbrush. Yep, they're the bomb. I haven't played with the Perfect Tears tools, yet, except as a centering ruler. But, unlike other tearing rulers, theirs comes with a watering pen to moisten the paper and make it easier to tear. Genius.

Everyone wins with this challenge. Just enter catered5% for a 5% discount checkout to get your hands on these tools.

One very lucky player will go shopping. The randomly selected winner will get a $25.00 gift certificate from Perfect Paper Crafting. Snap!

Be sure to come back Sunday, April 22, to see what our Chefs have dished up for you with their krafty paper.
