Here are a few ideas I've curated in my Pinterest board: Tag You're It. If you click on the inspiration board above, it will take you to the Pinterest board where you can get to the original craft artists and their tutorials.

When Freckled Fawn contacted me about sponsoring a challenge I went absolutely nuts checking out all the fabulous, yummy, inspirational goodies they offer. Oh darlings. You are in for such a treat. And, let me tell you, it is a happening place. They have a fabulously fun blog, a hoppin' Facebook page . . . gracious. But, most importantly, that have lovely, luscious washi tape, perfect for embellishing your tags. And, if you need tags, they have that, too, as well as other pretties to uptown your gift packages.

For just a few more days (through December 18) everyone one gets free shipping! Just enter CateredCrop when you check out. And enjoy your new goodies. And one, randomly selected player will win a $10.00 gift certificate from Freckled Fawn!

Arsenic and Old Lace Recipe Swap Quickfire

Look I probably should have told you this before
but you see, well, insanity runs in my family . . .
It practically gallops.
~ Mortimer Brewster in the Frank Capra
film Arsenic and Old Lace (1944)

It's week two of our Arsenic and Old Lace challenge. Time to check in with all of you and our designers.

I'm a nut for that nutty movie, Arsenic and Old Lace. It's a classic by the same man who brought us the Christmas film, "It's a Wonderful Life," Frank Capra; so, you know, you gotta love it. But, instead of angels' wings, we have Cary Grant charming the way he does so well his new wife and two homicidal Aunts.

Your challenge is to add lace to your paper craft projects. For extra credit get a little crazy and add "arsenic" to your project. By arsenic, I mean something a little rugged or rustic, like kraft paper, hemp twine or burlap. Combining frilly lace with rustic textures is such a stunning combination, I can't wait to see what you come up with.

So . . . here's how we play.

  • Just show us a project using lace. If you want to kick it up a notch, combine your lace with a little arsenic (rustic textures).
  • Include a link to us at Catered Crop or add our button, which you can grab on our sidebar or at our {button gallery}.
  • Link up and link often, but be sure you link up by 8:00 PM EST on Saturday, November 24.
  • Keep the party hopping by visiting the other players and leaving comments. (The InLinkz tool below will give you a blank to tell us which player's site you visited and left some comment love.)
  • Check back with us on November 25 to see if you've won an opportunity to be a guest designer.

As always, we have a Pinterset board (No Arsenic, Just Old Lace) to spark ideas and our designers put together some gorgeous eye candy for you. Be sure to click on the pictures of their projects to see all their details and say hello.

Congratulations to this weeks' guest designers: Jan R and  Kim Singdahlsen, who gave us two beautiful projects. Aren't these ladies amazing?
