Laughter is the shortest distance between two people.

That Victor Borge was a smart and very funny man. But you know what else shortens the distance between people? – A good blog hop! Welcome to the Perfect Paper Crafting first ever Brand Ambassador Blog Hop.

Blog Hop

If you just joined us from Cathy Rigby’s place and are new to Catered Crop, well, welcome. What took you so long to get here? Just kidding . . . I’m Linda McClain, and I’m thrilled as peach to have you.

If you didn’t join the blog hop at the beginning, you can jump on here: Perfect Paper Crafting. Leave a comment at each stop between now and April 4 for a chance to win a $25 gift certificate to SugarPea Designs or a $50 gift certificate to Perfect Paper Crafting’s on-line store. I’m crazy excited to be joining all these talented fellow Brand Ambassadors.

The Perfect Layers tool is like scissors and adhesive to me. I grab it with nearly every project I make. And, now that it comes in a Mini size – it’s even more perfect. I don’t think it will ever leave my desk top.

Remember to enter the code catered5% when you shop at Perfect Paper Crafting to get the special Catered Crop Discount.

I have a simple card that has just a pop of orange color thanks to the Perfect Layers Mini.

I had to add a little duck in honor of our current “Put a Bird On It” Catered Crop Challenge. Here are the rest of the ingredients.

Thanks for hopping by. I hope you come back soon and hang out with me some more. Until then, enjoy your next stop on the blog hop to join Leigh Brunton.

I talked to my brother and sister this weekend and the poor dears are so weary of winter. I think everyone North of the Mississippi River is.

My Favorite Things Wednesday Stamp Club 116

I didn't have the heart to tell them that in Texas our Redbud trees are blooming and the neighbors are planting annuals in their flower gardens. (I'm always the last on the street.)

I mean, look at their weather today compared to my weather.

I love Texas this time of year. Just sayin'.

If it's Wednesday, that means it's time for another My Favorite Things (MFT) Wednesday Stamp Club sketch challenge, (MFTWSC116). I love how simple and versatile this sketch is this week. You can find all the details for playing along on the MFT blog where you can also see what the Design Team has done with it.

Here are the Copic Markers I used with this freakishly adorable Flutter By stamp set . . . and the rest of the ingredients.

Pretty Poppies

That we find a crystal or a poppy beautiful
means that we are less alone,
that we are more deeply inserted into existence
than the course of a single life would lead us to believe.

MFT Pretty Poppies Blossom

Welcome everyone. I'm so excited. Today is Day #1 of the My Favorite Things Teaser Time – a week-long party revealing the newest products. And, holy smokes. You're in for some big treats, starting with this gorgeous set designed by Lisa Johnson, Pretty Poppies, and the new Blueprints Die-namics.

I did the research, really I did. I know poppies are traditionally red. Gorgeous, luscious red.

But, there really are pink poppies, too.

My Favorite Things Pretty Poppies

While I was making these two cards, I had visions of Dorothy, the Tin Man, the Cowardly Lion, and Toto, prancing through the poppy field. Poppies are such beautiful, mystical, and magical flowers.

Here's the inside of this card.

Thinking of You

This week we're revealing Blueprint #1. (Yes! There will be more!) Each set of Blueprint Die-namics includes building-block shapes but, and this is so crazy exciting, they also include design plans. You can follow any of the four sketches provided with Blueprint #1, or mix and match the elements to be your own architect. Just watch the MFT blog this week for more details and sneaky peaks of the design plans.

This Pretty Poppies set is so gorgeous, and the Blueprint design plan made assembling this card so easy, well, I just couldn't stop. I made a second card.

Aren't the fonts freakin' gorgeous with this set? Here's the very simple inside of my second card.

Well, you know why they call this week Teaser Time, right? Because, as gorgeous and fun as these new products are, you can't buy them just yet. The My Favorite Things (MFT) release, including all new stamp sets and Die-namics, is on March 11 at 10:00 PM EST.  You'll find all the newest products HERE at release time.

Here are the sets we're revealing today. If you'd like to see all of the teasers just click on over to the MFT Blog. Be sure to leave comments as you visit the designers for the chance to win $10.00 gift certificates given away daily.
